Random Sentence / Paragraph

Generate goofy random sentences or paragraphs as filler copy.

Open tool

Overview

The Random Sentence / Paragraph generator builds light-hearted filler copy by stitching together absurd noun-verb-object combinations. Set the count and the tool emits sentences (or paragraphs of sentences) that read as grammatical English but have no real meaning, perfect for placeholder copy when Lorem Ipsum has become too dull.

The generator is aimed at designers populating mockups, frontend developers needing realistic-feeling filler at sentence length and writers warming up with prompts. Long-tail searches like "lorem ipsum alternative english", "random goofy sentence generator" and "fake paragraph copy filler" all resolve here.

How it works

Each sentence is built from a small grammar: (The|A) [adjective] [noun] [verb] (the|a) [adjective] [noun] [adverb]. The tool samples each slot from a curated word pool — adjectives like "iridescent" and "punctual", nouns like "compass" and "kayak", verbs like "negotiates" and "sketches". Sentence variety is improved by alternating between several templates: with subordinate clauses, with prepositional phrases and with parenthetical asides.

Randomness is drawn from the OS cryptographic source so re-runs produce fresh copy. Paragraphs combine 3-6 sentences with simple cohesion rules (avoid two sentences in a row starting with the same word). Output is plain text ready to paste into a Figma frame, a CMS draft or a printable mockup.

Examples

"The iridescent kayak negotiates the punctual compass eagerly."
"A serene marshmallow sketches an iridescent kettle by the door."
"While the compass paused, the wombat translated a polite mango carefully."

FAQ

Why not just use Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum reads as obvious filler in English contexts and stops being useful when you want to see real-text wrapping behaviour. English-but-nonsense copy fills the same role with more realistic visual rhythm.

Are the words safe for any audience?

Yes. The pools are curated to be inoffensive and broadly inclusive; no slurs, brand names or adult vocabulary.

Can I bias the tone?

Pick a tone preset (whimsical, technical, food-themed) and the word pools shift accordingly. The default is whimsical.

Will the sentences be grammatical?

The grammar templates produce syntactically correct English in nearly all cases. Occasional awkward verb agreement may appear with mass nouns — click again.

Can I export?

Yes. The output is plain text. Copy it or download as .txt for use elsewhere.
