Random Startup / Product Name
Generate startup-shaped two-word product names (Prefix + Suffix).
Overview
The Random Startup / Product Name generator emits two-word startup-style names by combining a curated prefix with a curated suffix — "FluxKit", "NimbusForge", "GlideHQ". The output reads like a Y Combinator batch announcement and is great for brainstorming, naming workshops or stand-in branding in a pitch deck mockup.
The generator is aimed at founders hunting for a working name, product designers stubbing out demo apps, writers naming companies in fiction and marketers prototyping go-to-market mockups. Long-tail searches like "startup name generator two words", "tech product name brainstorm tool" and "random saas name generator" all resolve here.
How it works
The tool maintains two curated word pools: short evocative prefixes (Flux, Nimbus, Glide, Loom, Pixel, Helix) and modern startup suffixes (Kit, Forge, HQ, Labs, Cloud, Loop). Each pool is hand-picked for pronounceability and trademark-friendliness — long enough to sound brandable, short enough to fit in a logo. On each click the tool samples one prefix and one suffix uniformly using the OS cryptographic random source.
Lightweight collision checks remove names that match a small known list of established brands, and a heuristic vetoes outputs longer than 14 characters or with awkward letter clusters. The final name is rendered in title case with the suffix capitalised, ready to drop into a mockup or trademark search.

FAQ
Are these names trademark-free?
The tool checks against a small known-brands list, but it cannot guarantee availability worldwide. Always run a USPTO and your local trademark search before committing.
Can I lock a prefix or suffix?
Yes. Pin either side and the tool resamples only the other, useful when you have a tagline that fits "[anything]HQ".
Why two-word names?
Two-word "Prefix + Suffix" names are the dominant pattern in modern SaaS — they sound brandable, scan well on logos and avoid the long-name pitfalls of single-word coinages.
Can I bulk-generate to a CSV?
Yes. Set the count to bulk-generate dozens of names at once. Each name is filtered against the brand list before output.
Is the same name reproducible?
No. The cryptographic source is unseeded. Bookmark a name you like or copy it immediately.
