Overview

The Karaoke Song Suggester picks a song you can actually sing at karaoke, optionally filtered by mood or genre. It exists for the moment the songbook lands in your lap and your mind goes blank — the curated bank focuses on tracks that work well in a bar setting, with melodies people recognise and ranges most amateurs can survive.

You can filter by mood (upbeat, ballad, breakup, party anthem) or genre (pop, rock, country, hip-hop) to match the room. Or leave the filters off and let the generator surprise you.

How it works

The bank is hand-curated for karaoke playability. Each entry includes the song title, artist, and a vibe tag. When you apply filters, the pool shrinks to matching tracks and the generator draws one at random. With no filters, the full bank is used.

Tap again for a new pick. The list is wide enough that even popular filters still surface variety, so you do not get the same five songs every time.

Examples

  • Upbeat, pop: "Mr. Brightside — The Killers"
  • Ballad, rock: "Wonderwall — Oasis"
  • Party anthem, hip-hop: "Hey Ya! — OutKast"
  • Country, breakup: "Before He Cheats — Carrie Underwood"

FAQ

Will the song actually be in the karaoke catalogue?
The bank focuses on songs that show up in most karaoke catalogues. If your venue is missing one, spin for another.

Can I sing these as duets?
Many tracks work as duets. The bank flags a few obvious duet picks.

What if the song is out of my range?
Skip and tap again. The bank covers a range of vocal demands, and not every pick suits every singer.

Are these all recent songs?
No. The bank intentionally mixes decades so the picks suit any crowd.

Can I share the pick?
Yes. Screenshot the result, or copy the title and artist into a chat.
