About this tool
A web-based IMAP client for reading email. Point it at any IMAP server (Gmail, Outlook/Office 365, Fastmail, your own Dovecot) with host, port, TLS mode and credentials, then browse the mailbox's folders and read the most recent messages — sender, subject, date and the message body. Perfect for testing IMAP credentials and TLS settings or quickly checking what landed in a folder. The receive-side companion to the SMTP Email Sender. Signed in, you can reach private / LAN / localhost servers and save mailboxes that sync across devices — the password is encrypted at rest with AES-GCM. Signed out, the connection is one-time, public-host only, and never stored.
Frequently asked questions
Is my mailbox password stored?
Only if you're signed in and choose to save the server — and then the password is encrypted at rest with AES-GCM. Signed out, the connection is one-time and is never written to the database.
Does it work with Gmail or Outlook?
Yes, if IMAP is enabled on the account. Gmail and Outlook require an app password (not your normal password) when two-factor authentication is on — generate one in your account's security settings and use that here.
Can it modify or delete email?
No — the browser opens every folder read-only. It lists and reads messages but never changes flags, moves or deletes anything.
