Overview

The Trivia Question Generator pulls random trivia questions by category and difficulty. It is built for the host who is putting together a pub-night quiz, a classroom warm-up, or a long road trip and does not want to rely on the same five questions everyone has heard.

Categories cover the usual ground — history, science, geography, sports, pop culture, food and drink — and difficulty steps from "everyone gets this" to "now we are sweating". Each question shows its answer behind a reveal so the host stays in control of pacing.

How it works

Pick a category and a difficulty. The generator draws one question from the matching pool, displays it with the answer hidden, and waits for you to reveal. Tap for the next question to keep a round going.

You can lock the category and difficulty for a themed round, or mix things up between draws to keep the room guessing. There is no scoring; the host runs that separately.

Examples

  • History, easy: "In what year did World War II end?" — 1945.
  • Science, medium: "What is the most abundant gas in Earth's atmosphere?" — Nitrogen.
  • Geography, hard: "What is the capital of Bhutan?" — Thimphu.
  • Pop culture, easy: "Who painted the Mona Lisa?" — Leonardo da Vinci.

FAQ

How accurate are the answers?
The bank is curated and verified, but occasional disputes happen. Treat each question as the starting point for a fair-minded room.

Can I run a full quiz from this?
Yes. Lock a category, work through ten questions, then change category for the next round.

How many categories are there?
A solid handful covering common quiz-night topics. The bank focuses on quality of questions within each.

Will I see the same question twice?
Each draw is independent. The bank is large enough that repeats in a single quiz are uncommon.

Can I share with players?
Show the screen, or read the question aloud. Reveal the answer when the round closes.
