Reciprocity notes
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| One stop = factor of 2 in light | Open the aperture one full stop (f/8 → f/5.6) or double the shutter time (1/250 → 1/125) or double the ISO (200 → 400). |
| Sunny 16 | On a sunny day, set aperture to f/16 and shutter to 1/ISO. Cloudy → f/11; overcast → f/8. |
| Reciprocity | Equivalent exposures: f/2.8 @ 1/500 ≡ f/4 @ 1/250 ≡ f/5.6 @ 1/125. |
