Directory of plumbers, electricians and other home pros you trust.

Overview

The Service Providers directory is a private address book of the plumbers, electricians, landscapers, and other home pros you have used and trust. Finding a good tradesperson is hard work; losing their number when the basement floods at 11pm is much harder. A small, organised list saved on your phone collapses that search to a single tap.

Each entry stores the provider's name, trade, phone number, and notes, plus optional fields like the last time you used them or their rates. The directory can be filtered by trade so you go straight from "I need an electrician" to a short list of people you already vetted. The data stays in your browser; there is no shared marketplace or review system layered on top.

How it works

Add a provider by entering their name and selecting or typing a trade. Drop in a phone number and notes about pricing, punctuality, or specialties. Optionally record the date of the last job so you can remember how recent your reference point is. The list groups providers by trade for easy scanning.

Editing and removing entries is instant. Because the list is small by nature, search and filter stay fast even after years of additions.

Examples

  • A "plumber" entry with a 24-hour emergency note and a cell number.
  • An "HVAC technician" with the date of the last annual service in the notes.
  • A "handyman" labelled with a "good for small jobs under $200" note.
  • A "lawn care" provider with the rate per visit and the typical schedule.

FAQ

Can I rate providers?
There is no formal rating system; use the notes field to capture quality, reliability, and price impressions in your own words.

Is the directory shared with anyone?
No, entries are stored locally in your browser and never transmitted.

Can multiple people in the household see it?
The list lives on the device that created it. Use the same browser profile or share a printed copy for household visibility.

What about email addresses or websites?
Drop them into the notes field; the focus is a fast phone-call directory rather than full contact records.

How do I back it up?
Use your browser's print or save-as-PDF feature to keep an off-device archive of your provider list.
