Overview

The Pet Care Log tracks vet visits, vaccinations, weight, and feeding for each animal in your household. A consistent log turns the scattered memory of "I think Bella had her shot last summer" into a date you can actually cite when the vet asks. It is also useful for trends: a slowly climbing weight or a gap between dewormings is easier to spot in a list than in your head.

Each pet can have its own stream of entries, and entries are time-stamped so you build a visible history. Logging takes seconds at the vet's reception desk and pays off months later when you need to verify a vaccine date for a kennel or a groomer.

How it works

Add a pet with a name and basic profile information. Then add entries against that pet: vet visit notes, vaccination records with the next-due date, weight readings, and feeding notes. The log sorts entries by most recent and lets you filter by entry type so you can pull up just the vaccination history in one view.

Editing or deleting an entry is a single click. The whole record lives in browser storage, so it is yours and stays put across visits without a sign-in.

Examples

  • Logging an annual rabies vaccine with a next-due date one year out.
  • Tracking a senior dog's monthly weight to spot a downward trend early.
  • Recording switch days between food brands so you can correlate changes with stomach upsets.
  • Building a complete vet-visit log to share with a new clinic after moving.

FAQ

Can I track more than one pet?
Yes, add as many pets as you need; entries stay scoped to the individual animal.

Does the tool remind me of upcoming vaccines?
The log highlights upcoming and overdue items when you open it, but does not push notifications.

Is this a substitute for vet records?
No, treat it as a personal copy. Your vet still holds the official record and should be your primary source.

Where is my data stored?
In your browser's local storage. Print the page periodically to keep a paper backup with the rest of your pet paperwork.

Can I attach photos of paperwork?
The tool focuses on structured text; store scans separately and refer to them by entry date.
